Hey, I'm Casey!
I'm a mixed methods researcher with over 10 years of experience delivering high-impact (read: $$$) research that drives product, design, and business strategy in messy, ambiguous spaces. My superpowers are exploratory and generative research, strategic research roadmapping, workshops, and relationship building to co-create shared visions for the future.
Can't wait to meet you! Let's do coffee 😊

My Approach
01
Inclusive
The best research is research that people believe in. The best way to get research buy-in is to be inclusive by ensuring everyone has a seat at the table, feels heard, and finds value in the research. Whether it’s collaborating across cross-functional partners, mentoring junior researchers, or even designing the future directly with users, I believe we do our best work together.
02
Actionable
My research only has impact if it drives action and decision-making at the right times. I come to the table with a strong POV about how best to act based on what we know and what we don’t know, driving the team towards business and user experience goals by keeping actionability and timeliness at the forefront. I work with everyone from ICs to leadership to ensure everyone feels clear and confident in research recommendations, strategic options forward, and best next-steps towards more user-centricity.
03
End-to-end
Research can play various important roles throughout the product development lifecycle, and my job is to identify where and when net-new research can have the biggest bang for our buck versus where we can leverage existing insights to support the rest of the process. I prioritize research work by understanding business opportunities, identifying risks, and co-creating product and experience goals that drive planning and resourcing from end-to-end.

eBay Seller Capital
eBay
eBay Seller Capital allows budding and established businesses on eBay to access the capital they need in order to grow and thrive. As traditional banks often don’t recognize e-commerce sellers as real businesses, driving access to capital directly from eBay and its banking partners unlocks billions of dollars of growth potential for sellers and eBay. I supported this product from early conception through launch in 2024, and it generated over $1.27M in direct revenue just in its first week!

Unpaid Items
eBay
In 2023, eBay was losing an estimated $4.4B per year in revenue from sold items going unpaid. It’s the biggest problem for GMV, seller CSAT, and growth eBay has ever had. My research helped drive a 56% reduction of unpaid items in 2023, equivalent to about $2.2B in annual GMV impact. Additionally, my research single-handedly identified and slowed a launch which would have resulted in $78M in GMV breakage and costed sellers $22M in additional shipping expenses each year.

Furnishing the Future
Haworth
In partnership with Grand Valley State University, I lead research which studied the interactions of college students and professors as they were re-entering the classroom in the Fall of 2020. Haworth had the opportunity to unlock new marketshare in furnishing classrooms that encouraged more collaboration. This research led to the design and production of a new product, the Poppy Chair with Tablet Arm, which won an HiP Award from Interior Design at NeoCon 2022!
